Staff Travel

Staff travel to camp by a variety of methods. Camp runs shuttles to Portland, Maine. It is one hour drive from camp, so quick pick-ups are not possible.

The majority of staff arrive by automobile. Directions are listed at here.

Average Drive Times:
New York City Area 6 Hours
Boston, MA 3 Hours
Manchester, NH 2.5 Hours
Portland, ME 1 Hour
Augusta, ME 1.5 Hours
North Conway, NH 30 minutes

For staff arriving in New York: Please contact Winona by phone upon your arrival. Let us know which Greyhound Bus you will be on, and when it is scheduled to arrive in Portland, Maine.

Staff Arriving in Boston: Concord-Trailways Bus Lines run from Logan Airport to South Station and north to Portland, Maine. Again, it is very important that staff call well in advance of their arrival so a shuttle can be scheduled.

Staff need to know that Portland, Maine has two bus stations. And although they are only a few miles apart, it is important to be sure of the bus company and station destination.

Staff flying in are encouraged to fly to Portland, Maine where a Winona shuttle which has been scheduled after your call can pick you up.
